There hasn't been a lot of material out there on this particular drive and common results say it's not compatible with the MB. There is a firmware upgrade ISO that you can download. Many guides out there say that you need the Samsung Magician software, Windows only, to upgrade the firmware. I was able to upgrade without needing a Win10 machine or installation. A recent firmware update to the Evo Plus made it compatible with the MBP. Just wanted to share what I did to upgrade my MBP Mid 2015 MBP from the built in 512 Gb SSD to a 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
